This study investigates the impact of a multidisciplinary and multidimensional teaching model on the development of aural awareness of music students. This model articulates three dimensions: (1) elements of the musical syntax (rhythm, melody and harmony); (2) elements intrinsically transversal in the music learning process (expressive, stylistic and instrumental); (3) cognitive skills/processes present in the development of musical syntax.
